Shurtape AF-75 Military-Grade Aluminum Foil Tape is a 3 mil dead-soft linerless aluminum foil tape which is designed to resist extreme temperature fluctuations. It adheres to its own backing and also particularly well on irregular surfaces.
Used to create vapor barriers and waterproof seals, to reflect and dissipate heat, and for masking off areas when painting and electroplating.
Please note AF-075 typically ships on a plain white core (not Shurtape branded-core).
Standards Met: L-T-80B; NRC Guide 1.38; SAE-AMS-T-23397; MIL-T-23397C (replaced MIL-T-23397C, Type I & II – canceled 9/21/98).
Carrier/Backing: dead soft aluminum foil. Adhesive: acrylic-based. Thickness: 4.8 mils (carrier, adhesive) 1.8 mils (adhesive) 3 mils (carrier). Adhesion: 55 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 30 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Service/Operating Temperature: -30F to 325F. Elongation: 5.3%. Core: 3-inch diameter.
